Cheese string Ad - Eh, I'm Just Cheese.

' I'm just CHEESE! '

This cheese string ad was directed by Nicolas Kasakoff, with agency producer Gemma Knight and production company Blink, who have also produced many other cheese string adverts. The main character- the cheese man, exits from the sea in James Bond style and changes from a normal cheese string into a new brand off cheese- the cheese spaghetti! This advertises both the old and new brand of cheese string, making the viewers want to try something new.

Its message is very clear, but the producers have used many creative techniques to attract different aged viewers. The advert is presented as slightly dramatically because of the music choice, which immediately attracts the attention of the viewer. Theatrical music has been used to make sure the viewer does look at the advert, as the music is loud and bold, making the advert more striking. Over the years cheese string adverts have become well known, purely because of the main character. The producers created a main character to show in all of the cheese string adverts, to make the product better known because as soon as you see Mr strings you know what the advert is going to be about, giving you more of an understanding. Instead of using dull, boring colours, the producers have used bright and happy colours so its more eye catching.

This advert is comical as well as light- hearted, so appeals to a bigger range of people. There are no offensive aspects in the advert so can be played at anytime, becoming a more viewed advert.  Different people may have a different understanding to the message that is being put across. Young children will see it as a humorous cartoon, wanting their parents to buy the cheese strings because they enjoyed the advert. While parents see it as a healthy snack as it 'just cheese' and ideal for children's lunches. All these things make the advert very versatile in the way people understand it.

SO GO BUY A CHEESE STRING!
